Internet Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

Progressive side wagers: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly offer one of these. You typically put a bet (a dollar is the usual amt.) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Although huge jackpots like these are extremely alluring, they are also very complicated to win. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and place the side wager every time. That is 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game wager instead of a sucker wager. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with better odds employing that twenty dollars.
Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the complete house edge from two% with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5.26% in American. The individual number wager has only a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower casino edge.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you gamble on it, the casino advantage can be a whopping twenty-five percent. Yes, that wasn’t a typo. Because of the huge amount of numbers you have to choose, it is not recommended to gamble on Keno to often. A couple of times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself beaten.
