  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker regularly contain one of these. You usually put a wager (a dollar is the usual value) to try to win a side jackpot that can reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like these are very appealing, they are also incredibly hard to win. You might have to get a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side bet each time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game bet instead of a sucker wager. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds utilizing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the complete casino edge from two% with one zero wheel to a huge five% in American. The individual number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you play it, the house advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that is not a error. Because of the large amount of numbers you must choose, it’s not advisable to play Keno to often. A number of times for entertainment, maybe. But don’t waste all your money on it or you’ll immediately discover yourself bankrupt.
